Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, light-touch, non-invasive, specialist massage technique that offers qualified massage therapists a natural complement to their existing massage modalities. It is a style of bodywork which promotes the flow of lymph through the body and assists in the function of the immune system. It is used specifically in the treatment of lymphoedema when combined with Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) or as a treatment for minor lymphoedema, maintenance after CDT or in the prevention of lymphoedema.
