Equine Naturopathy Diploma

Complementary therapies are gaining popularity as more and more people seek natural solutions that offer more than a 'quick fix'. Using the complementary model, various aspects of equine health may be observed and improved upon from a holistic perspective to improve an equine’s wellbeing.

This new Equine Naturopathy Diploma consists of certificate courses in: Equine Myofunctional Therapy, Herbal Medicine for Horses, Equine Nutrition and Pasture Management. Other compulsory components include Effective Communication, Naturopathic Philosophy and Equine Disease and Illness. Each course may be studied separately via open learning, with the exception of Equine Myofunctional Therapy, which is an in-class component due to its tactile nature.

We are looking at running an intensive course in Melbourne, NSW & QLD where students would study the anatomy & physiology of the horse via distance learning and then only undertake classes for three lots of five day blocks for the entire practical and some theory sessions. This is still in the planning stages and we have no dates as yet but are looking at commencing in late 2009. If you are interested we can put your name down on our database.
